Each month volunteers get together to create a full meal for those in our community. This meal is free and open to the public. They serve approximately 100 people, from all walks of life, each month. Come, join us.
The Community Meal, which happens the third Thursday of each month, is an outreach of the Food Shelf Ministry. Faith Olsen is the Coordinator and each month a “Committee Chairperson” is recruited to plan and organize the cooking of a meal to feed approximately 120 people. There is a support staff of volunteers (10 to 14 each month) who will assist in cooking, setting tables for 101 people, serving clean-up, etc. Meals-to-go are offered if food is available after all have been served. Although not solicited, voluntary donations are greatly appreciated.
